Young People Host Evening at Phipps Home
A lively social gathering occurred at the Phipps residence when a knock at 6:30 PM brought in friends with baskets and bundles. The party lasted several hours with music and feasting, ending around 11 PM. Mr and Mrs Phipps plan soon to move to a Randolph area farm. Attendees included Mr and Mrs Ed Marshall, Claude Deu pree, Ralph Vinton, James Miller, Wm Slezak, Elvin Van Pelt, Warle Davis, and Miss Bessie Dill.

Entertainments at Kensington-Bridge Whist in Glenwood
Last Tuesday February 24, Mrs W C De Lashmutt and Mrs Ernest DeLashmutt hosted back to back Kensington-Bridge Whist gatherings at the same house from 2 30 to 6 pm with about 40 guests including Miss Agnes DeLashmutt and Miss Maggie DeLashmutt and Mrs C F Davis. Winners were Miss Euphemia Evernham and Mrs Clyde T Garing. School Inspector Prof L I Reed, now in Des Moines, noted Glenwood schools were in good order. Miss Carrie Slezak of Williamson Iowa planned an extended visit with Mr and Mrs Wm Slezak.
