Geo Zimmer Appointed Agent for Glenwood Farmers Mutual

The Pottawattamie County Farmers Mutual Insurance Company announces Geo N Zimmer as agent for the Glenwood territory. The four year old farmer owned mutual touts low costs and prompt loss settlements with profits non existent. The secretary E W VanDraff notes the plan offers policies at about half the stock company rates and highlights substantial statewide risk. He will be in Glenwood each Saturday to meet farmers and provide information.

Golden Wedding Anniversary In New Jersey Forty Four Years Since

Fifty years after their February 1802 marriage at their old home in New Jersey Mr and Mrs Willi and Henry Mintle celebrated with 91 neighbors at the Mintle home on the northeast edge of Greenwood. A day of cheerful visits featured baskets and a grand feast with the couple each receiving a fine rocking chair. The Mintles have lived in the area for 44 years.
