Clerk Davis Buys a Horse for Pleasant Evenings

County Clerk Frank Davis bought a fine black four year old horse from Malvern on Saturday. The horse was raised by Les Summers and sired by Harry Mount, the Chas Pierre horse. Davis lost an even $200 and calls the animal a stepper of no mean ability.

Housewarming in Center Township for Reasoners New Home

A winter housewarming last Friday at the home of Mr and Mrs N O Reasoner in Center township drew about 45 neighbors. The gathering celebrated their December move into a new residence postponed by illness. Neighbors brought baskets and food, the ladies laid out a sumptuous feast, and all enjoyed the social visit and wishes for many happy days in the new home.

Twins Lived Only Short Time in Emerson Family Tragedy

The Emerson Chronicle reports that former Representative and Mrs. A. B. Washburn welcomed twin babies a boy and a girl last Tuesday. Joy turned to sorrow as the infants died the next day. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon in Emerson cemetery.
