Glenwood graduate Arthur Lufkin wins school debate medal

The Denver Post reports Arthur W. Lufkin, 13 B First Avenue, won the gold medal in the annual debate between the Castalian Literary and Webster Debating societies at West Side High School. The subject was state and national elections should be less frequent. Lufkin, a popular student and prominent athlete, secured the negative and had previously earned laurels in the prior year.

Jackson plans pure bred mares and new stallion work

Breeds good stock grow on north Glenwood farm as RB. O. Jackson sold 120 cattle last Saturday to John Tipton of Tabor. He aims to buy Percheron mares to breed with the new stallion. He also raises Werkshire hogs with Clifford Kelley and maintains Shropshire sheep.
