Glenwood community reports include Frank Fitzgibbon returning from Casper, Henry Dean settling east of North Locust, and visitors from Havelock Nebraska. New baby girl born to Mr and Mrs Byerly. Post office seeks long term quarters. Baptist Sunday school plans a market sale. Local moves, travels, marriages, and a wolf scalp sale highlight a week of small town life.
Parish hall event at the Hot Supper Baptist Church parlor set for Saturday February 6 from 5 to 7 30 pm. Tickets priced at 25 cents with proceeds likely aiding church activities.
Mills County Poultry Association plans a week long show at the old Glenwood Baptist church with exhibits of poultry dogs grain and seed corn. An advertising sales committee will arrange free of charge sales of all exhibits and to take orders for eggs and stock. The Ames state college advertising department will screen prize livestock and crops Thursday evening to promote Mills County agriculture.
Advertisements for real estate belts, trading in chickens and cream, Big Bull Tractor, decorating materials, and musical instrument services. Salesmen opportunities offer up to 100 dollars weekly plus. Estate notices include 80 acres near Glenwood and additional properties for sale. Trustees meeting postponed to February 6, with town clerk note. McKnight & Haney offer insurance and rentals.
Financial statement for the Independent School District of Glenwadd Iowa year ending February 2 1926 lists funds taxes receipts expenditures and overdrafts across Teachers Fund Contingent Fund and School House Fund. It notes the board's budget proposals for the ensuing year including amounts for teachers fund school house fund contingent fund and free text books and announces the annual meeting at Glenwood court house on the district’s second Monday.
On March 8 1915 from 1 to 6 pm two directors will be elected for three years to replace Aid. Howe and B. M. Mers and one director for two years to replace W. M. Plimpton. Secretary WM Lamb notes upcoming council Bluffs event and county officials night on February 10. all are welcome.
