Glenwood callers and visitors fill Christmas days with family gatherings. Notables include Clarence Carter of Vermillion and Cloud Rist from Extra visiting Hiett's art line, with numerous local households hosting relatives and friends over the holiday. The Armory hosted its largest crowd of dancers in history as residents from multiple towns gathered for a festive night.
Charles Riggs buys a Ford coupe and Hiett Shop sells kid and silk gloves. A. B. Walling travels to Chicago for markets. Welcoming Earl Eugene McClary on December 19 in Malvern. Johnson and her son Alfred of Council Bluffs visited from Saturday until Christmas with her sister, Mrs. Jane Tipton. Mrs. Ed Mitchell and daughter, Miss Nell Winchell, Mrs. F. P. Petty and Irene Heberlee, all of Malvern, were brief visitors during Christmas at the Dawson home. Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Keene and two children of College View, Neb., came Thursday evening to enjoy part of the Christmas vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Ourly. They visited on Christmas day with Deputy Sheriff P. A. Dawson and family. Mr. and Mrs. Zeph Perkins, her parents, and Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Chard, the latter a sister, of Lyon, Neb., were present. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Troxell of Lima, Ohio, visited from Thursday until Saturday in Glenwood with their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. A. Mayberry. The Troxells were on their way to California for the winter. Frank Wright took his wife to his mother, Mrs. Sarah Wright, to Lincoln Saturday. After a few days with her daughter, Mrs. B. J. Burkett, and family, she and her granddaughter, Miss Nora Burkett, will leave for Los Angeles to spend the winter with her daughter, Mrs. Robert Hale.
