Ugly scrap at Junction shocks Pacific Junction
Pacific Junction December 20. An ugly scene erupted after a pool hall dispute between Ed Reed and a stranger named Harry Shafer. Reed struck with a billiard cue and later assaulted Shafer with an empty whisky bottle, breaking it and injuring Shafer on the head. Shafer has filed for a warrant. Reed fled and is sought. Shafer, once in Omaha, was en route to St. Louis. Reed was intoxicated.
