Glenwood and nearby towns publish a wealth of items from visitors and returns from service to sales and lookouts. Notes include visits, hospital training, discharges, and letters from soldiers in France, plus numerous notices for jobs, rentals, sales of furs and produce, and local business promos like Frantz Premier Electric Cleaners and Kelley chairs.
Mills County issues notice that Bridge Warrants up to and including No 704 will be paid with interest at the County Treasurer office. Interest ceases December 31, 1918. M D Maxwell County Treasurer.
Property owner forbids all hunting on the farm five miles north of Pacific until June 2. Trespassers are warned and disallowed from entering the premises to hunt or trespass under penalty.
The Emerson Chronicle recounts a disputed basketball encounter with Glenwood on the local field described as a near prizefight. Emerson led 7 to 3 after the first round. Glenwood surged to 15 to 14 final, with fans noting need for more training and wind.
Pastor William Stevenson announces a special midweek program with organ, choir, and Bible study at 7:30 followed by the Holy Spirit work sermon. Christmas Eve features the Sunday school entertainment with Santa Claus promised.
