Mills County Board Proceedings Reflect Tax Adjustments and Elections
The Mills County Iowa board reviewed tax refunds and abatements including half tax reductions for land parcels, exemptions for widow Mary Stockton homestead properties, and reductions for misassessed cattle values. Petitions by A Paul and Gabriel Perkins for tax relief were granted, with various transfers and city-tied exemptions approved. The session also covered school fund loans, ditch maintenance taxes, new justice of the peace appointments, and numerous court and county official salaries, along with certificates of election for several officials.
