Funeral service for Dr D M Hamilton in Glenwood home
The funeral for Dr D M Hamilton was held at his daughter Mrs Amanda Tate's home with Rev T B Gray and Rev L D Brainerd officiating. Pallbearers included Glenwood physicians and DeWitt, J M Donelan, Plimpton, Hester, Mogridge, and A J Stowe the druggist. Born in Canada, he was 75 and practiced in Glenwood since 1865, known for modest charges and care for poor patients before declining health led to his death after transfer to Clarinda. He left three daughters and three sons, all Glenwood residents.

New East Glenwood road proposed to avoid Fallon Hill
A petition of about a hundred names filed with Auditor Male requests a new road from the east into Glenwood. The route would start at Hillsdire road near Tabor hill, loop around McCoy branch to Keg Creek, and then either follow the railroad to connect north of the institution grounds or cross to the square. Commissioner Willi Cheyney of Emerson will study feasibility within 30 days amid Burlington right of way changes and cost considerations.
