Rev W I Story led a resolution opposing saloons and supporting raids, while speakers questioned whether saloons draw trade and critiqued civic courage and alleged political motives behind raids and enforcement.

A large Tolles family reunion was held at H. A. Tolles in Glenwood last Sunday, the first time in 20 years all twenty members gathered. Out of town relatives included P. B. Tolles a Denver attorney Charles Tolles a shorthand reporter in St. Louis Mr and Mrs W A Tolles of Omaha and Mr and Mrs A F Gates of Omaha. A gift suit of clothes was given to Father Tolles and a family group photo was taken before departure.
The three month old child of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Harman of Glenwood died last Sunday night from a peculiar cause linked to an insect bite. Erysipelas and blood poisoning followed the bite, though danger was not suspected until the morning of the fatal day. Funeral held Monday at home with Rev. T. R. Gray officiating.
