Glenwood town items recount visits from Mineola Tecumseh and Lincoln figures. Births illnesses deaths weddings and social events mark weekly life with school activities, church, and a county fair mood. Local commerce and yard sales mingle with fringe business notes and a trip to Omaha for a ball game.
Glenwood authorities announce stricter enforcement of several ordinances after numerous complaints. Bicycles and coaster wagons on sidewalks will be barred, shouting within city limits prohibited, and ball throwing on streets banned. Boys urged to use alleys or vacant lots, cattle driving criticized, with consequences to follow. Council completed its board of review, approving bonds for park commissioners Dr J. M. Donelan, B. S. Bogarath, and F. L. Wallace, who plan lake-bed preparations. Justice Will Pullman elected. ceremony described with moral twist and formalities.

A West Liberty gathering celebrating Mr and Mrs John Sawyer’s tenth anniversary featured piano music by Mrs Sawyer and vocalists Lillian Don and Fred Raine. A surprise party turned into a lively night with luncheon, singing, and humorous moments before guests departed with tinware gifts.
Mothe Bridge warrants up to and including No 485 will be paid at Mills County Treasurer office. Interest on same will accrue, and a notice appears amid garbled text offering services from a laundry and other casual items with unclear details.
Glenwood Baptists present morning sermons on The Jewel and the Casket and Espials with a Scarlet Line and an evening lesson titled A Scarlet Line. Congregationalists offer Dreamers of Today and Christs Scheme of Conquest with Bible school at 10 a.m. Epworth League at 7 p.m. St John's Episcopal holds 10:30 a.m. divine service with a sermon The Sword of the Spirit and an evening lecture. All welcome.
Pacific Junction and Creston items report residents visiting, moving, and working on civic projects. L H Stroud and Mrs Stroud visited Glenwood, D Davis of Omaha was a Sunday guest, Will Estes hauled hogs to Omaha, U D Rogers returned from San Francisco, Alex Powell in Haxton Calo, County Surveyor Smith set cement walks, Engineer Kavanaugh plans move to Creston, Mack Mayberry shipped hogs and cattle to Omaha, a 700 pound hog was among them. Newt Grubb now runs the railroad lunch counter at Pacific Junction and visited Conway. Platteville and Oak townships trustees plan a levy on the river front. Harvey Dean Wes Litchfield and Ben Liscoln to confer with landowners for levy construction.
