Pioneer Resident of County Dies in Malvern
John J. Higgins, a longtime Malvern shoemaker born in 1832 in Cork Ireland, died April 3 1916 after a life in Council Bluffs Hillsdale and Malvern. He was married to Rebecca Cook sixty four years with no children and is survived by nine nephews and two nieces. Funeral held at Malvern Catholic church then interment at Council Bluffs St Joseph cemetery.
