Notorious German Ancestress and Criminal Family Links
A German woman named Adalurke is noted as the matriarch of a notorious line. Professor Pellman of Bonn University cites 834 descendants, 709 of whom were criminally inclined, with seven murdered and executed. The family reportedly cost the government 1,200 thalers. Also cited is Agnes Richards, dead in Holloway Prison in 1898, once a flower-seller, with a long prison history through her life.
