Maj Forster of Bellefonte to deliver the oration at Decoration Day observances. The West Susquehanna Classis of the Reformed Church met locally from the 19th to 23rd with ministers and attendees from across the country. Mrs. Sarah J. Gratley’s funeral drew a large crowd, and the Lutheran church auditorium was filled to capacity. The community held a high regard for De pendent, and grain in the valley looks strong though hay crops may be short due to dryness. Dr. L G Meyer of Pardoe, Mercer county, was visiting.
