Wedding Joy Fills Community as McGrath Marries Martin

Harvest work in good order after rains. A group from the vicinity visited Oak Hill to see Joseph Horner. Mrs Porter and daughter of Chatham visit friends at Trenton and Amherst Island. Miss Rose Fallis and Miss E J Fallis were visiting. Alice Martin and Robert McGrath wed in a joyful ceremony. Guests gifted the couple with fine presents as they begin their honeymoon in emerald fields.

Pleasant Picnic at Rice Lake With Millbrook and Clarke Guests

A Saturday picnic on August 26 with youths from our town plus visitors from Millbrook Manvers and Clarke enjoyed a day at Rice Lake. Despite forecast rain, mist cleared, lunch behind Bewdley hotel was memorable, and dancers filled the ballroom while Mr Arnott and staff kindly hosted.
