Brush fire spawns small twister at Millbrook home
A brush burning incident near Mr. Milton W. Cornish in R R 2 Millbrook Saturday was lifted by a brief twister sending embers into the bush. Fire responders from Port Hope and locals joined to control the blaze and prevent spreading. The outbreak was eventually extinguished with no major damage reported.

Two youths fire crackers at sidewalk passersby
On a Sunday afternoon two youths rode back and forth throwing powerful firecrackers at people on the sidewalk. They fled around the Tupper Street corner when a potential victim approached the edge of the causeway, avoiding capture.
