The Agricultural Societies of the Ontario Department of Agriculture publish fall fair dates across districts including Belleville Oshawa Blackstock Port Hope Marmora Stirling Campbellford Norwood and Ottawa Winter Fair with events from August to November. The compilation notes fairs in Toronto Kinmount Ottawa Simcoe Norfolk County and related regions, detailing dates such as August 7-10 in Peterborough and October 15-18 for the International Plowing Match in Simcoe Norfolk.

Water users on the station line experienced temporary black water for several days after the Water Commission installed a large pipe to the Melvor flow recently acquired by the Village. Sediment disturbance from the installation caused the discoloration, unclear to some residents, but the cause is now understood.

Mrs. David Fisher, age 85, died July 16 at 5 30 a m in Hastings at her son Stanley Fisher’s home. Born Eliza Jane Russell in Millbrook February 3 1872 she married David Fisher in 1899. Survived by five children nineteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Funeral July 18 at J W Haw Funeral Home Millbrook with Rev F P Chisholm officiating.

The wedding of Miss Anderson to Mr. Ross was held at St. Andrew Anglican Church Millbrook on Saturday July 20. The ceremony was officiated by H. C. Quinn in a double ring rite. Mrs. Gillis will reside on King Street Millbrook. Attendees were urged to attend church of choice on Sunday.
