At a well attended meeting of the Official Board of the Mill brook Cavan charge of the United Church of Canada on Tuesday November 26 1957 the following resolution was passed without opposition.

Events include baptism plans for grandchild of Hetheringtons, Proclamation posters for liquor outlet vote, a boy with a sled to school, a non suspicious baby carriage sighting, and Christmas decorations at The Mirror-ReporterOffice reflecting Gayle Stephens’ weekend visit.
Mary E Gamble of King Street Millbrook wife of the late James Weatherup died at Peterborough on December 6 1957. Funeral December 9 at 2 PM from J W Haw Funeral Home Millbrook with Rev F P Chisholm. Interment Gardiner's Cemetery. Frederick Milford Staples husband of Harriet Soden died December 9 1957 at H W Fair residence Millbrook. Funeral December 11 at 2 PM from J W Haw Funeral Home with Rev F P Chisholm officiating. Interment.
Mrs C R Gardiner expresses heartfelt thanks to Civic Hospital Peterborough staff Dr M E Hobbs Rev Mr Chisholm and all friends and neighbours for cards fruit flowers and visits during her recent hospital stay.

Mr and Mrs James Bell celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an At Home gathering for friends and neighbours on Saturday December 14 1957 from 2 to 9 pm at the home of their son and daughter in law Basil Bell Cambobellcroft Ont.
Joseph H Burns was reelected Master and officers reinstated for 1958. Names include Deputy Master Nellis Fallis, Chaplain Clifford Fallis, Rec Sec Nathaniel Belch, Treasurer Stephen Morton, Marshal Roy Ferren, Lecturers Leonard Porter and Joseph Sexsmith, and four Committeemen Wilbert Fallis Leonard Porter Wilbert Belch Steiwart Fallis. Past County Master Kenneth Moncrief installed them. social hour followed.
Nancy Powell daughter of Mr and Mrs Ernest Powell won the Ouellette shield for proficiency in music in Grades 9 and 10 with the presentation by Mrs H Ouellette. A $25 general proficiency award for Grade 12 went to Helen Ingham daughter of Mr and Mrs B E Ingham of Tu rper Street.
