South Monaghan Twp Council Meeting Minutes August 4 1958
The regular meeting of the Township of South Monaghan was held in the Township Hall on August 4 at 8 30 p m with all members present. Reeve Ray Bothwell presided. Minutes from the previous meeting were read and adopted. Various accounts totaling 1656 34 were approved for payment. Notices and requests from multiple departments were reviewed with no action on some items. A fire truck contract with Millbrook Village was extended to the end of 1958 and a 200 cheque mailed. Nine new Hydro Electric contracts were approved. Unemployment Relief Act changes were noted for nursing home care funding.

The meeting, seconded by A G Anderson, requested the Department of Lands and Forests declare South Monaghan Township exempt from the open season for shooting deer. A copy to Hon W A Goodfellow. Robi Fisher moved, Geo Dean seconded, meeting adjourned to call of the Reeve. J E Robinson, Clerk.
