Obituary: William Tremain 87 of Millbrook
William Tremain died Thursday August 20 in his 87th year after sixty years in Millbrook where he volunteered in Peterborough’s first fire brigade. He was a craftsman famed for wagon wheels, sang in St Andrew’s Church choir, and belonged to the Ancient sector of Forresters. Survived by sister Mrs Geo Smith of Sackett's Harbour NY. wife Mary Irwin predeceased him. Funeral held Haw’s funeral parlor at 4 p m Friday August 21.

Sunday Morning Sermon At St Andrew's
Rev. Stanley Snowden preached at St Andrew's with eight visitors from Bancroft including Mr. and Mrs. Orville Rowland and Mr. and Mrs. N Weatherill from Norwood. The sermon urged personal saving faith and living for Christ, calling for dedication and prayer for using one life in God's service. Flowers in the chancel honored Mrs Elizabeth Wood and Mr Williams remain Elliott.
