To and Fro in London lecture delights Millbrook audience
John R. Clarke spoke for two hours at the Methodist church on To and Fro in London. The 66 year old, 42 year veteran delivered vivid descriptions of London sights and English heroes, earning praise for voice, delivery, and rhetoric. Proceeds go to church debt reduction.

12th annual Archdeaconry conference meet in Lindsay
The 12th annual Archdeaconry of Peterborough conference met at St. Pauls Lindsay on the 17th inst in session with ministers from across the district in attendance. Evensong was held with sermons and lessons read by Rev J H Levey Rev H B Trambour and Rev Spencer. New officers elected include Rev W J Creighton secretary and three archdeaconry appointees Rev W C Atlen Langeldt and John Lindsay with several lay members elected.

Saddened Accident at Stable Endangers Miss Kells
On Monday afternoon Miss Anna Kells daughter of Mr and Mrs JeC Kells was riding when her horse bolted toward the stable. She pulled the bridle, the horse reared and threw her, striking her head. Eyewitnesses carried her to Mr Jas Fee home. Dr Turner attended and she was moved home for an operation. Dr Turner and specialist Dr Bingham of Toronto conducted a successful procedure and she is recovering as well as can be expected. This near tragedy is described as a miracle she survived.

Question about Jimmy the butcher’s absence due to business. Funeral of late John Hart, formerly of Bethany, from G T R station to St Mary’s cemetery Liffford, attended in large numbers. Mr H Fallis poorly but improving under Dr Brereton. John Sisson and Edward Mitchell, St Mary’s church wardens, were in town on Saturday. Bazaar by Ladies Aid of Methodist church planned for Millbrook Town Hall on Friday Dec 4. Free admission. tea served both afternoon and evening. Tea 15¢. sale of useful and fancy articles begins at 7 2 pm. Everyone welcome.
