partment of the District of Columbia United Spanish War Veterans- The canjp# represented were Camp No 1, H. M. Pater, commander; Gamp No. 3, John A. Gallagher, commander; Camp No 3, Harry V. Shurtleff, commander, Camp No. 4, Thomas a Green* commander, and Admiral George Dewey Naval Camp No. i, John P. Mahoney, commander.Prom the G. A. R. hall the veterans marched along the Avenue to Sixteenth etret. thence east on Pennsylvania avenue, to Fifteenth street, to Pennsylvania avenue. to Thirteenth street, to B street, where cars awaited to take them Arlington. On arrival at the cemetery a procession. In which were represented all of the patriotic organizations that took part in the day 8 observances, was formed. The Third artillery, promptly at noon,flred a national salute, and the marchers made their way to the “tomb of the unknown. in which lie the bodies of those men who lost identity as well as life in the fierce struggle between the States.While the Fifteenth Cavalry Band plaed a dirge, a oommlttee of women
