The Milford State bank hosted the Southern Utah Bankers Association banquet in the Union Pacific dining room with 27 in attendance. A. J. Miles was elected president, with J. C. Smith as vice president and Jonathan Lloyd as secretary treasurer, and officers named for the coming year.

A Mutual officers party was held at Bishop Birds residence Saturday evening. After introducing new officers for the coming Mutual session the group played rock and enjoyed ice cream and cake. Prizes went to Mrs Wilson Moore and Arthur Clark with Mr Moody and Mrs Clark receiving consolation prizes.
Officials in White Pine County Nevada are prepared to begin highway 21 reconstruction from Connors Pass junction on Highway 98 to the Utah line. The project aims to remove a major obstacle to tourism traffic and Utah has indicated attention to the remaining stretch at an estimated cost around 350000 dollars.
The Dixie Jubilee quartet brings plantation melodies and spirituals to Milford high school on Tuesday October 5. Each member is a vocal soloist, with humorous and popular numbers interspersed. The group blends Dunbar readings with a lively stage presence for an entertaining program.

CCC boys from Beaver Mountains beat Milford 6 to 4 in the third game of the series. Detmers and Rochek pitched. Detmers struck out 15, Rochek 4. Chesley and Overly drove in runs. players listed include Easton, Tanner, M. Euston, Pennod, Coleman. Next game scheduled Sunday September 22 at 2 30 p.m.
A surprise bridal shower was given Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mra W. G. White for Mra Caleb Davidion. Guests enjoyed games and refreshments, and the bride received many beautiful gifts. Attendees included Mesdames J. J. Weir, Howard Weir, J. Weber, Norman Eckman, W. K. Dawson, A. F P. McCulley, George Baxter, P. V. Howarth, Elam Foutz, E. E F. Gray, John Snorf, and Ernest U'Ren.
