Milford Hospital Nurse Ends Life in Milford
Beatrice Bates head nurse at Milford Hospital took her own life with an automatic pistol after a history of illness and despondency. An inquest found death by own action during a spell of despondency. She leaves a daughter, parents, and three brothers and sisters. Delegates and alternates were chosen at a Republican primary for state and congressional conventions. A Ladies Glee club was formed to assist in the campaign.

The Beaver County Fair closed as the best yet with Milford valley showing strong in all departments. Milford exhibitors won top prizes in potatoes cucumbers roses floral display and numerous blue ribbons for art needlework painting and livestock.
