The Senator from Sandpit notes Milford meeting Dr. R R Shannon on Main Street where Jane Sloan, formerly of Milford, asked for a lamp post hug and greetings to Milford residents. The doctor will hug the lamp post and the columnist will say hello to everyone in Milford for Jane and himself.
George C. Murdock won the Bea ver mayoral race over incumbent E A Griffith by 115 votes. He took a four year council seat with M J Warr, plus 2 year seats for Warren Thompson Cyrus Davis Arthur Meredith and Bernice Brooke as free order. Other defeated candidates included Frank Low Issadore Lessing Dr BE S McQuarrie John Ashworth and Alice Thomas.
Evangelist Norman Eckman used a Firemen's hall meeting to argue the perpetual nature of the law and the continuing force of the fourth commandment. He cited Jesus reading in the synagogue on the Sabbath and urged adherence to Sabbath observance amid ongoing revival talks.

Miss Cochrane of Milfori Beauty Shop attended a three day beauty trade show at Hotel Utah in Salt Lake. She completed a special finger waving and hair styling course and received a certificate for exceptional ability under instructor Burton Skiles. Her mother, Mrs. William Cochrane, joined her for several convention sessions and social visits.
Cyril Pepper Johnson reports on Chaplain Ben nion from Fort Douglas visiting the Milford camp and a Wednesday Life of Christ lecture by Norman Eckman. Lt Wickerham visits from Moapa while Captain Knapp is reassigned to Panaca Nevada. Kentucky cooks Coffman and McGar transfer to Delta Utah as they settle in.
The American Legion Auxiliary held a Monday night meeting at Mrs. Hthel Smith home to outline projects for the near term. They sponsor an oratorical contest at the high school with sixteen contestants allowed and awards for the best essay from a girl and a boy. A bazaar and public food sale are planned for mid December with details to follow.
Mr and Mrs Wm Ashworth thank Milford Volunteer Fire Department and neighbors for their heroic efforts Monday night that prevented extensive damage to their home.
The Ladies of the Veterans of Portign Wars Auxiliary announce a big dance on Saturday night November 16 at Arion hall hoping for strong turnout and community support.
The Utah State Tax Commission leads a drive to collect millions in delinquent real property taxes with a slogan Save Money Save Your Property. Delinquents can save up to 28 percent plus a one year extension if all back taxes are paid by January 1, 1936, under the emergency law effective March 25, 1935.
Mrs. I. L. Kelly heads a roll call to enroll Milford Red Cross members starting Monday November 11 until the local quota is met. Volunteers will promote projects for first aid stations on highways and home and farm prevention, plus public health nurse work.
