Farm Community Marks Anniversary in Mil ford Clubhouse
The Social Hour club celebrated its sixth anniversary with a large turnout at the South Milford clubhouse. The evening featured music and readings by Mrs. Myron Hanchett and Misses Retta Murdock and Margaret Cates Readings were by Parley Fisher and Dr. Addison Bybee. Mrs. J. G. Weber reviewed six years of club history while Varley Fisher played piano with her son on clarinet. A tiered six candle cake sparked a circle dance as refreshments and a well organized plan by president Mrs. Kent Smith contributed to the success.

Strange Sights May Be Viewed Sunday
Thirty-one head of snow-white purebred Arabian horses came through in baggage cars on Thursday morning. The horses belonged to the drill team of the Shriners from the Sioux City temple. They traveled with their masters to the Shrine gathering in Los Angeles next week. A rush of specials may be expected through Milford from now until Tuesday as fourteen special trains carry Shriners from the east. The Medinah Temple of Chicago leads with eleven cars. Groups from Reading and Albany passed Wednesday, heading to a stop-over at southern Utah parks. Nine engines are planned double-headed from this point on west over Crestline summit.

Red Cross Elects Officers for Year
The annual meeting of the alutord Chapter of the American Red Cross was held Thursday evening at the Hotel Atkin with the regular election of officers and a report on Miss Peck's school work. A fuller report will follow. Fireman Dixon toured Salt Lake, with Brakeman Frazer driving a new Ford back to the capitol city. Mrs. L. J. Parris and son Glen arrived from Los Angeles to visit relatives and plan a Salt Lake City trip to see Mr. and Mrs. D. Rodgers. Dr. Petty of Beaver spoke in Milford for Beaver Memorial Day plans. Sam Cline attended Beavers court. Frank Carter returned from Utah Agricultural College and planned a stint at the Horn Silver mine in Frisco. Mountain lion hunted near Beaver area by Twitchells
