Milford displays historic coach and mining notes

Frisco Lulu Mine to Resume Operations Soon

Dougdale and Dickey of American Smelting and Refining Company oversee installation of a surface plant at the dormant Frisco Lulu mine. May Term of Court Closes With Dismissals and Divorces

The May term of District Court in Beaver County closes with juries hearing a few cases while most matters were decided by Judge LeRoy Cox. Dismissals: Ernest Metsgar for fornication and Jack White with Jess McCash for cattle theft, both for lack of evidence. Civil rulings include Bonita Theatres Co. v. F. Clark Kesler for $500 plus costs. Two divorces granted: Alf Allene Morgan from Kenneth L. Morgan and Mettie Nowers from Geo. Nowers.

Milford society notes and club gatherings across town

Miss Jean Bennett hosted a Five Hundred evening with Leah Richards Reva Mattingly Gladys Coleman Honora Hutchings Eva Coleman and Bessie Killam. The Mil ford Y I M I A wrapped up with a program and dance and lunch. Mrs D E Kirk entertained at Bridge with guests from Salt Lake City and prize winners named. Bernice Outzen hosted schoolmates for cards and 500. The Stitehletic club met with sewing and guests Mrs Yepson and Mrs Banks. Kappa Star Club and Rev Homer Root enjoyed Wednesday in the afternoon and evening.

Farewell Reception for Mr and Mrs Cottrell

Milford Lions Enjoy Evening at Horn Silver Mine

A large Milford group including eighteen couples visited the Horn Silver mine boarding house in Frisco on Monday night. Mrs. Ellis hosted the event with Milford Orchestra providing dancing music and a sumptuous repast, making the trip a royal entertainment for guests and friends.

Fire damages Atkin Cafe prompt fire department response

A kitchen blaze at the Atkin Cafe near La about Monday morning was quickly found by railroad workers and extinguished. Proprietor Benny Okohiara reports heavy smoke and water damage to supplies. building owner Lew Williams says damage to the structure is about 200 dollars, fully insured.

Mrs J C Jeffers was in the hospital for a few days this week. M J Warr and son of Beaver had their tonsils removed this week. Mrs L A Erickson Pershing was in the hospital a few days this week. Mrs Harold Ryan returned this week from California. Mr and Mrs Pete Enos of Monterey California are visiting here and at Beaver. Mrs Enos was formerly Miss Lelia Hodges. Attorney Abe Murdock and Mayor Jack Barton were down from Beaver on business Tuesday. Mr and Mrs Clark Showalter with Mrs J Lessing of Beaver visited Milford on business Tuesday. Lions Parrish and Sam and Harald Cline attended the District Convention of the Lions club as Milford delegates in American Fork. Mrs Erma Gillies and Mrs Delena McGarry attended the B P W club convention in Salt Lake City May 24 and 26. A banquet was held at the Hotel Utah. Joe Jackson is readying a potato patch at his Rocky Ford farm for gravity irrigation tests in Beaver county this season.
