Officers Elected At Beaver County Game Club Meet
Sportsmen from across the county attended the Beaver County Fish and Game Club meeting in Beaver Monday evening to elect officers for the year. State Game Commissioner Newell Cook credited the local club for high cooperation and discussed efforts to improve hunting and fishing in Utah. W Burbank Dies at Seattle Home
Relatives in Milford Utah received word of the death of Willard Burbank on Friday May 8 at his Seattle residence. A Newton Center Massachusetts native born November 18 1850 he helped found Hamilton Nevada and Snake Valley Utah. A civil engineer he contributed to the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad and was a Milford lodge member before leaving for Seattle in 1907. Surviving: wife Elsie Rait Burbank daughter Mrs Bert Scott three grandchildren two sisters and several nephews.

Fire victim succumbs to gas burns near Parowan
Roy Mitchell of Parowan died at Milford hospital after suffering severe burns while trying to extinguish a fire that started when gasoline spilled during fueling a truck on the Parowan cut off. The incident occurred Thursday night as he and Tol Mickelson tried to reach Minersville for gas. Mitchell died Saturday morning. Funeral services in Parowan noted his 36 years and shearer trade. he leaves wife Della Clark Mitchell and two children, with surviving brothers and sisters in Provo, Parowan, and Salt Lake.
