Milford could host the Union Pacific Salt Lake division unit athletic meet this summer after a pilot visit by RB Smith A C Frees and A A Hendricks. Funds of 1000 to 1500 dollars are needed with events including track field trap shooting rifle shooting baseball tennis swimming golf and more. Milford aims to attract a large crowd by advertising public events and possibly building a western golf course near the rifle range.

Plumbie Mining Company Planned Near Milford
A new mining company called Plumbie Mining Company plans incorporation in Beaver County near Milford. It controls about five hundred acres along the Magnolia line with shallow shafts suggesting rich ore deposits four miles from a loading station. One hundred thousand pre organization shares at thirteen cents each are being distributed, limited to 1000 per person.

Dies Here After Stricken On Trip
William Henry Meyers of Los Angeles died in Milford hospital Monday morning after acute heart asthma. He was 69, a Pennsylvania railroad conductor for 40 years, recently retired, and returning to Los Angeles from Steubenville Ohio. The body, under undertaker Harry Ward, was taken to Los Angeles by widow for burial. Otto Meek of Baker Nevada attended Milford events this week with the National Railway Athletic League, which ranks and offers Union Pacific athletes a test after Boise wins.

Paving Plan Secures County Aid for Milford Streets
Milford moves closer to asphalt with a county pledge of seven thousand dollars to cover half the paving costs on Main street. Mayor Hubbell and town trustees report the project will start after a long effort and include new street lighting with conduits installed alongside paving.
