Five-year-old Jean visits twin brothers after their arrival and quips about bargains. A tree climbing misadventure becomes a playful moment as the children joke with their mother. Willie says he is fighting temptation, adding to the lighthearted household scene.
1944 4-H club notes describe The Victory Stitchers of South Milford with Victory as their objective. Officers: Colleen Hanson president Loraine Lofthouse vice president Nona Wright secretary treasurer Helen Stahl Victory chairman leader Lenore Bowen. Project Clothing TH. Each girl can contribute to victory for democracy by home farms and communities, asking if actions will help win the war.
Public ration guidance lists stamp books and expiry rules for meats shoes sugar and gasoline. It notes extensions and reductions in weekly allowances, with dates and letter codes such as A through J and various book numbers.
Funeral services were held for Frank Watson Gospill 81 at Milford Methodist church. He died Friday morning after a heart attack followed by stroke. Born September 19, 1862 in Jackson Township, he lived in Michigan and California before settling in Utah in 1915. A longtime farmer, Democrat and community worker, he is survived by his son Howard, daughter Gladys, and brother Walter Gospill.

Milford hosts a visit by Mrs Amelia C Kane national president of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States during April 2 8 4 with officials C P Decker L B Waddingham J R Murdock and R Smith traveling to Salt Lake City to greet her Kane born in McKeesport Pa grew up in Braddock and Pittsburgh and has held numerous Auxiliary and department and national offices dating back to 1924 she helped organize county councils and served in many leadership roles including department president secretary chief of staff and national officers through the 1940s.
Pvt Jack Goodwin left for Fresno California after a furlough with his parents Mr and Mrs G Carl Goodwin and relatives. He trained at Buckley Field Colorado and now heads to Fresno for aerial gunner crew training on a Flying Fortress. Mrs. Fred O Leary notes Milford salvage fats: 710 pounds shipped since January 14 with 650 pounds dispatched that date.
