The Associated Civic Clubs of Southern Utah held an overflow banquet in Milford with Lions club members and local leaders. Speakers urged county fair work, home ownership pride, and completing the Minersville Cedar City highway segment in Tron county before fall. State road officials pledged support for regional road needs and advertising, while a push for a $500 junior livestock show funding in Delta drew attention.

They visited Tin valley to review results of the regulated plots where last year sheep grazed better than on open range by about six pounds, increasing to eight pounds on average, showing the value of regulated forage.
Milford residents endorsed forming a Milford junior chamber of commerce at a well attended meeting in the Milford Firemen's hall. A temporary committee led by J. M. Williams Jr. will draft a constitution and by laws with aims to foster community projects in cooperation with the Lions Club, planning a second meeting on April 10.
Beaver County Fish and Game club members and some sportswomen gathered Thursday evening for a Beaver meeting led by Sian Tattersall. State official Nowell B. Cook discussed catfish planting at Rocky Ford and lake opening plans. Hyrum Lee urged more wardens. Lee Kay showed bird life films. Murray Bohn reported hatchery fish plantings including 226,000 eastern beech fry and 0,000 mackinaw fry.
The Milford L. D. S. ward foresees a grand reunion featuring banquet floor show dance and carnival to raise funds. A new $25 000 Ld B Y chapel has backed church growth with donations from members and civic leaders. Aims to finish the remaining $2800 debt by a final payment during a commemorative event.
At a Saturday Associated Civic Club meeting in Southern Utah Winn Walker and J. W. Pace reported near unanimity for a north south road linking Milford and Delta running beside the railroad. Milford County commissioners pledged hard surface completion Benton to Beaver County line by fall, with the Milford airport to Millard line section nearly finished.
