Civic Clubs Meet Saturday in Milford for 1099 road program approval

Burbank CCC Plans Open House For Sixth Anniversary

The Burbank Civilian Conservation Corps camp near Garrison hosts an open house on Saturday with 2:00 pm softball, 4:00 pm tours, demonstrations in conservation classes, and evening moving pictures. A Milford county fair planning meeting is scheduled for April 1 at Milford High School to form committees including General, Finance, Program and Parade, Exhibits, and Dairy and Beef Cattle divisions with numerous local officials and volunteers listed.

Milford CCC Notes Major Dismissals and New Road Opening

Milford CCC reports Dr Giber departed last Tuesday after serving as train surgeon since last October for a Fort Benjamin Harrison troop train. Lieutenant Wells left for Salt Lake City to serve as mess officer aboard a troop train to Fort Knox. Dr Joseph M Smoley and First Lieutenant Pimerald are temporarily with the company awaiting the troop train departure. Beaver Pass road by Company 469 to open April 4 extends from Milford area to Adamsville, replacing the old Soldiers road and shortening Milford to Beaver by eight miles. Residents are urged to enjoy the improved route with its construction quality and scenic value.
