Former Milford resident Puller A. Arney aged about 24 flew his own small Cessna two seater to the local field and greeted L. A. Wynaught J. Smith G. L. William and other locals. He is the son of Mr and Mrs Joe Amey once railroad workers who left Milford years ago. A Los Angeles photographer traveling with him conducted an aerial survey of Union Pacific track damage between Los Angeles and Crestline for the railway company.

Mrs. Sherman W. Johnson confirms the accidental death of her brother Robert Dale Stower 28 of Cleveland Ohio. Stower spent six weeks in Milford in summer 1936 helping Ted Kronholm with surveying. He was killed in a Bolivia mine operated by Swiss interests and burial followed.
The 1910 flood damage near Meadow Valley wash blocked eastbound service for months. Union Pacific spent millions repairing double tracks west of Las Vegas toward Barstow and San Bernardino. Caliente finally regained service Tuesday night after days of tunnel and right of way clearing. Milford faces limited rail and mail, with Nos. 11 and 118 nearly on schedule. Westbound Challenger passengers are routed via Cedar City and Needles, while eastbound travelers follow a longer detour through Searchlight and Mojave to Los Angeles. President L A Wyn leaves Thursday morning for Salt Lake City to attend the first meeting of the New York Worlds Fair commission, of which he was recently appointed a member by Governor H H Blood.
Staley McKnight of Minersville Beaver county recreationist under the PWA reported another marble contest to be held in Milford on Saturday March 26. Contestants will split into two classes with 12 years as the dividing line. Milford players may register with Myles Davis, local director. Lindwy Waddingham, son of Mr and Mrs Lyn Waddingham, was county and district winner last year and placed fourth at the state tournament in Ogden.
Mrs George Jefferson came home Monday night after a trip to Salt Lake City. She visited companions and saw sights during the journey and reported a pleasant trip overall.
Milford officials and health authorities conduct a sanitary survey directed by Dr. A A Jenkins with Kilmer By Quist supervising district No 2. The study assesses water and sewer systems, garbage disposal, and sanitary conditions of homes and businesses, aiming to present findings and improvement suggestions to the town. Milford is the district’s second community to request such a survey as part of the statewide health program.
Mr and Mrs Alvin Skillicorn returned to Salt Lake City on Monday after spending the past month visiting here implying a seasonal trip and now resuming home life.
Beaver and Milford groups agreed the county fair would rotate every two years with six committee members from Beaver and Milford plus one from Minersville.
