Price Control Talk Set for Milford Businessmen
The Milford Business Men's Association schedules a March 14 meeting with a representative from the Office of Price Stabilization to explain the price stabilization program and assist merchants in preparing charts for the new regulations taking effect March 29. The OPS official will answer questions about the program and Beaver merchants are invited to attend the 7 p.m. dinner at St. Bridget's Recreation Hall.

Snow in Beaver Mountains Near Normal Water Content
Snow depth has nearly doubled since Feb 1 in the Beaver Mountains bringing water content to almost normal for this time of year. Measurements on March 1 show Big Plat at 10 000 ft with 49.9 inches snow and 18.62 inches water, Oller Lake at 9200 ft with 40.65 inches snow and 19.67 inches water, Merchant Valley at 8509 ft with 27.04 inches snow and 7.7 inches water, versus 14-year averages.

PMA sign up urged for Beaver County farmers

Veterans meeting three conditions may be exempted from 1950 credit restrictions for building a home on a pre October 12 1950 lot. The loan remains under milder July 1950 curbs with a 5 percent down payment and any cost increases paid in cash. Exemption lasts until April 18 1951.

Aunt Hannah Corbridge Observes Birth Anniversary
Mrs Hannah Corbridge, 84, celebrated at her son Clarence Corbridge home in Minersville. Born Feb 28 1867 in Kent England, she came to Minersville at 22 with her fiancé and married Willan Corbridge in 1888. An active LDS Relief Society worker, she crochets bedspreads and doilies and has eight of nine children living.

Deer Count in Beaver County to Begin March 12
Plans and riding schedule for the annual range inspection and deer count in Beaver County were announced by District Forest Ranger H. M. Christensen, State Game Warden Othello Riley, and Howard Bennett of the US Bureau of Land Management. The inspections run March 12 to 16 on South Beaver, March 26 to 30 on Mineral Range near Milford, April 9 and 10 on North Beaver, and April 11 to 13 on Pine Creek. Community groups are invited to participate, to gain firsthand deer and forage condition data for Board of Game Control recommendations.
