Beaver County Schools to Close Two Weeks Early
The Beaver County Board of Education voted to end the school term early due to a severe funds shortage. About 12,662 dollars in county funds will be uncollected by year end, with over 9,000 dollars in current taxes unpaid. State funds also appear short, shortening the term from nine to eight and a half months, with most schools ending May 2 while Milford schools stay open until May 9 due to fewer Saturday sessions.
