A statewide health program will hold a series of meetings in Beaver county March 8 to 12. Milford hosts the session Thursday March 1 at 7 pm at the high school. Dr J Jones states the program aims to inform physicians health officers and citizens with lectures motion pictures and demonstrations.
Carveth Wells describes Bryce Canyon and other Utah wonders on a Conoco broadcast. The program Exploring America with Conoco and Carveth Wells airs 6:45 p m Sunday on KSL Salt Lake City or KOA Monday at the same hour. Mrs Frank White travels to Spanish Fork to visit her parents.
Frank Tripole earned a Star Scout badge at a court of honor Tuesday, making two Star Scouts in Troop 324. Several more Scouts are set to receive stars in a few weeks. The Covered Wagon patrol has been working on tents and ran for their cabin.
The Milford orchestra, famed among dancers, is enlarged to seven pieces with new dance tunes for the Milford Junior Prom on Friday March 12. Public is invited to attend a Milford high school prebimary debate on Monday evening March 8 in the high school auditorium. Oregon style will be used with four seven minute speeches four minute questionings and two rebuttals. The topic is resolved that the government should own and operate as electric utilities.
Harriet E Fotheringham 90 a former Milford resident and prominent pioneer of Benner Court died Saturday in Los Angeles and was buried Monday at Roosevelt cemetery after funeral services conducted by Bishop Erin D Bigler. She was born October 36 1546 and lived in Salt Lake Beaver Milford and later California. Surviving children include S H Fotheringham Mrs Scott Tanner of South Gate and Mrs N C Schow of Milford with several grandchildren and a sister Mrs Clara Schofield.

Governor Blood has signed 27 measures with 24 becoming law. six new laws were urged by labor, four affect agriculture, and three concern county affairs. Many major items still await final action.
