The Williams family recalls a vow to revisit Yellowstone as a new scenic route through Star valley and Bear River valley debuts. Stake R S Conference of the Beaver Stake was held in the Milford ward L D S chapel Tuesday afternoon June 27. All wards participated in a fine program. Refreshments were served by stake officers with help from Relief Society members. Afterward several ladies visited Mrs Hattie Ashworth at her son Bills home where she is recuperating from a prior accident.
Four-H Club notes describe first year AH club meeting at Bertha Hickman's home with eight members and one new member Crone Atkins. Seven Beaver 4-H boys received 500 pheasant eggs from the state game farm at Springville and plan to hatch and release birds, with payments of 80 cents per mature bird. Members listed include Wendell Baker Gordon Baker Lynn Baker Clark Smith Newell Warr Clarence Huntington Donald Hutchings. The project requires joining standard 4-H, keeping records, learning pheasant propagation history, and local game knowledge. Continued on last page.
Milford Lions club sponsored water feature at Rock Corral Park enhancing year round recreation. A large community turnout praised the site and supported future development as guests shared sandwiches, cake, watermelon, and beverages despite a warm windless afternoon.
A news release from A. 3. Brown, register of the Salt Lake land office, notes that on July 27 a plat of surveys will be filed covering lands south southeast and southwest of Frisea. Lands previously withdrawn on September 8, 1934, for a proposed grazing district are described, with references to sections and townships. The lands will be subject to provisions of the Taylor grazing act and will continue under mining and grazing rules. All inquiries should go to the United States Land Office in Salt Lake City.
Horn Silver Mines on the San Francisco mining district property west of Milford now produce about one thousand tons monthly. Seven leasers operate across the site with future ore blocks planned. Golf ore leads value at roughly 7.50 per ton, with silver and lead also present. The mine, dating to 2875, has a long production history and a three-compartment shaft to 1600 feet with eight miles of underground workings.
Lake Mead has risen to 1182.80 feet, the highest level on record, extending about 10 miles in length. The rise continues at roughly .2 feet per day as reports from the Bureau of Reclamation in Boulder City detail peak flows at Bright Angel and other gauges, with figures for May and June showing substantial but varying water discharge.

A Utah state land board delegation led by Chairman J. F. Tolton of Beaver visited Milford on Wednesday evening after a day in western Beaver county. They inspected state and federal lands to consolidate holdings into profitable units, as part of a plan to shift lands from the grazing division under the Taylor act. Dean Seeley of district 8 grazing division and EB Crawford of Castle Dale joined the group as appraiser for the land board.
Minersville prepares a large Fourth of July celebration with a nine oclock morning parade featuring business houses and organizations, followed by a patriotic program at the high school. The afternoon highlights horse racing with fast firsts, plus children and adult races, contests, and a 2 oclock children's dance, promising ample entertainment for all.
Mee Rupert and accompanying party plan a Texan drive to visit Mr Lford Rohier and daughter Lesh Smitth. They expect to spend several days on the journey. The Taeram boys will stay in Texas for the coming month.

The Milford town board and L A Wynaught announce the completion of a government telephone line from Milford to the Desert Range Experiment Station at Pine Valley. The first message was received Tuesday evening, marking a valuable addition to western Utah communication facilities and aiding COC camp operations and ranchers in the area.

Wendelboe to assist. survey to span several weeks, with a detailed location survey later for an estimated year of construction.
Arrangements are completed for a Sunday July 2 opening ceremony marking the Fourth of July celebration and dedication of Bly's new airport. The air show promises to be a highlight of the three day fete with allied groups and organizations participating in the event.
