Milford residents may enter any of seventeen events at the Lions Club pool on Wednesday at 10 am. prizes funded by local businesses will reward winners in tests of speed, diving, and unique races. Union Pacific weighs ditch to shield Milford from floods
Union Pacific official John Sharpe and R A Adams representative studied 1929 blueprints and land titles for a proposed $50 000 flood drainage ditch. Mayor Hubbell’s complaint spurred action and if right of way issues are settled construction could begin soon to divert flood waters north of Milford.

Car plunges from Beaver Canyon bridge. multiple spared
Will Blackner of Beaver narrowly escaped serious injury when his Massey sedan went through a bridge on Beaver Canyon Highway near Puffer Lake Road at 2 AM. The car toppled but a broken board caught the rear axle, preventing a fall into the creek. Passengers Mr and Mrs Clark Black and Mrs Blackner were helped to safety by trailing witnesses Mr and Mrs A C Saunders.

Woman collapses at Lehman Caves in Nevada tragedy
Mrs Jennie Reilly a 58 year old New York City resident died instantly at the entrance to Lehman caves during a family visit to relatives in Nevada. A physician in the party attempted resuscitation after she reported feeling better moments earlier. The body was sent home to New York from Ely.

Wild Truck Driver Crashes Through Town Killing Horse
