Milford plans a full Pioneer Day program from daybreak to the next morning. The schedule includes flag raising, a parade, races, a Milford vs Ruth baseball game, a swimming carnival, rodeo events, and a large opening dance in the new recreation hall costing 35 000 dollars. A Baxter orchestra will provide music.

Organization Setup Explained At State Wheat Meeting
At a July meeting in Ogden the state explained the domestic allotment plan for wheat. Utah is divided into districts for participation, with Beaver allied with Millard Iron and Washington. Beaver has 135 growers producing 20 638 bushels. all may join the bonus next September if they sign the contract reducing acreage 1 to 20 percent for 1934 and 1935. The needed organization must be perfected quickly to begin functioning.

Baby Daughter Passes After Pneumonia Death
Carol Ann Jones seven months old daughter of Mr and Mrs Dick Jones died July 14 from pneumonia. She was the third child lost by the couple. Survived by parents one brother Leon and sisters Jeanie Verda Moore San Diego CA Vena Valentine Beaver Nellie Gareani Milford Margarey Alice Jones. Funeral held Monday at 10:00 am at the residence with interment in local cemetery. Community shares in their sorrow.

Wind Tunnel Tests Spark New Union Pacific High Speed Train
Union Pacific unveils a nine foot wide stream lined passenger train with a low center of gravity nine and a half inches above rails and eleven feet top clearance. The 12 cylinder 600 horsepower Winton internal combustion engine under construction at Cleveland will power a 110 mph train with 3 aluminum alloy cars built by Pullman in Chicago. Frisco District Survives Cloud Burst Storm
The Frisco district suffered a severe storm Monday afternoon with runoff diverted south and west to spare Milford from flooding. Rail lines from Frisco to Newhouse were undermined and some tracks left suspended. Squaw Springs area bore the worst damage while crews quickly repaired highways for traffic. West rail remains in good condition despite heavy spring and summer use from C C C activities west of here.

Delmar Kirk of Baker California arrived in Milford last Thursday to visit family and friends before returning to Death Valley Inn where he is employed.
