Miller, president of Milfork Wildlife Protection Amli Cation, reported Tuesday the release of 140 half grown pheasants from the state fish and game department. The birds were released near the old Bybee farm, which has a bird sanctuary. The notice warns that pursuing game birds in a closed area or during a closed season is unlawful and training dogs for such activity is discouraged.

Workers describe the equipment as combining mine Attel and two new vinhammers, expected to improve conditions at the Old Hickory. The Thin mine continues to open seeks and push ahead despite Independence Day concerns.
Harry Jefferson of Milford was chosen chairman of the Beaver County Young Republicans at a lively Beaver meeting. Phyllis Marshall of Minersville is vice chairwoman, Elaine Kirk of Milford secretary treasurer, and Doyle Twitchell of Beaver state committeeman by acclamation. Ernest G. Joseph opened the session, with speeches on American privileges and democracy. Baranski of Milford gave the keynote on Americanism and True Democracy, urging Republican advocacy and opportunity. A motion supported Bea ver county representation in the state legislature and Miller for district attorney. County central committee members were named for Milford, Minersville, and Beaver.

Descendants of Sarah E and Ruben William Dotson gathered in Minersville for a two day reunion to advance family organization and research. The lineage traces to 1680 with Charles Dodson who settled in America from England. About 140 descendants were listed with attendees from Spanish Fork Salt Lake City and California.
Arleigh Canpenu of the Mutan trainees at Fort Douglas writes as special correspondent to our paper. Other Milford lads Dan Gillies and Harry Farnow are enrolled for July training with 413th Infantry under Colonel Jacob A. Johnson. The letter notes July 2 opening, 201 young men ages 17 to 25 from Idaho Utah Wyoming and Nevada, new streamlined drill, daily athletics 1 to 4 pm, and evening chaplain entertainment with Sunday church services. Cooks prepare meals with a 10 am milk or fruit juice rest period. Trainees invite folks to visit Fort Douglas in Salt Lake City, with a visitors’ day planned for July 30.
Members of the Minersville ward chapter gathered for open services at the chapel and a reunion at Ponderosa park eight miles east of Beaver. New officers were chosen for the coming year: A. L. Dotson president, J. M. Dotson vice president, Lorraine Dotson secretary, and Tine Dotson treasurer. Plans were made for a reunion at Boulder Dam on June 5, MMI.
