A meal followed for the members.
Washington announces the draft lottery for 21 year old registrants will be held July 17 with 750 numbers drawn. Secretary of War Stimson to draw first from a set of capsules, Colonel Morris to blindfold him. Ceremony aims for two hour completion and distribution of master lists to 6500 boards nationwide.

An election will be held in the Arm ory Building Fillmore Utah on Saturday July 19 1941 to fill vacancies on the advisory board of the grazing district No 3 Puhvant The named candidates include Wilford Watts Alvin Yardly Alden Barton and Evan Evans for various cattle and sheep posts The proceedings begin 10 00 pm with polls from 2 00 pm to 5 00 pm or until all present vote The Grazing Service urges district licensees to attend Chesley Seely Regional Grazier and Dean Seely District Grazier.
South Milford residents attended Mrs John Banks funeral in Minersville. Mrs Carl Goodwin sought medical care in Salt Lake City. Delos Baker visited farmers about AAA. Several locals joined Fourth of July trips to Lehman's Cave and Minersville. Visitors included Douglas Boyle and Hallie Tucker from Monterey Park. Don Elmer toured the Grand Canyon. Local families from Stockton Beaver and others are listed among gatherings.
The first Marine division and another from the Army will stage a large scale joint rehearsal in July on the east coast. The exercise centers at Marinus Camp in North Carolina near Wilmington with 20 000 men, new amphibian tanks, and motorized units testing new gear. Atlantic front units will land and form a beachhead as marines and soldiers practice extended maneuvers under a national emergency. Soldiers may enlist in the Marine Corps Reserve for the drills under active duty terms with full privileges and training continuity.
Fails and tady of South Milford spent Saturday afternoon visiting with Mrs Walter Cook and Mrs William Baker and family. Mrs Edwards is a daughter of Mrs Rollins. Jess McKnight and Willard Evans came from Burbank California to visit home folks. They work at the Lockheed airplane factory. Mr and Mrs Charles Allred returned Wednesday from California. Mr and Mrs Keith Rollins are congratulated on their new baby girl born July 1.
