Edwin F. Staubaugh and W. C. Andrews met Beaver county enumerators on Saturday January 26 to guide county officials as they begin the agricultural census. They urged farmers to cooperate as data from this census will shape future farm legislation. Beaver enumerators named Iveta Fotheringham Melvin Matthews and E. M. Cates.
A mass meeting of Milford citizens will be held Saturday night at the town clerk's office to discuss proposed legislation viewed as harmful to the states mining development, especially in Beaver county where the industry is reviving. Bill Nichols recently discharged from hospital after appendicitis surgery is recovering at home.
The Milford miners and prospectors school, the state’s third such program, began Monday evening under H. G. Walter. The course runs through next week at the high school with lectures on earth formation and mineral deposits, plus laboratory work and field trips to the Kitty Cliff mine area.
