Milford residents were urged to support the 1954 Mothers March for the March of Dimes on Thursday evening January 27 starting at 7 p.m. Twenty five captains and volunteers will contact homes, with siren and car horns signaling the drive at 6 p.m. The committee led by Loretta Cline Faye Berger and Joan Mallarid and district captains including Dorothy Morler Marjorie Thompson Lois Kirk Marvin Miller Virginia Young Dorothy Grimshaw and many others will light porch and window displays to welcome the marchers and collect contributions.

Minstrel Show Delights Crowd At High School Auditorium
The Epsilon Sigma Alpha minstrel show Burnt Cork and Melody drew a large Main Street crowd last Saturday night at the high school auditorium. Directed by Loretta Varley and Sharon Varley with Interlocutor Glen Oldroyd, the ensemble delivered lively numbers and clever costumes including a can can sequence and notable solo and duet performances by Dick Foerster Jack Radtke Jesse Long LaRue Varley and others. Accompanists Margaret Mocha Jake Schow Puterea Vileck Vance Flyher and Bill Kirk supported the program which featured special acts and a finale with Meg Rowley as the Statue of Liberty.
