Mrs. Florence Louise Russey Pitts daughter of Milford residents S. C. and Mrs. Russey died of double lobar pneumonia while her mother was hospitalized with the same illness. She was 22 and survived by husband a Shell Oil supervisor in Salt Lake City two sons Gary and Kim and four brothers. Funeral plans were to be arranged with services in Milford and interment in Salt Lake.
The Beaver County library board held its first meeting Monday in Beaver. It voted to keep current library personnel unchanged. Miss Hlsa Hales remains county librarian and head of Beaver library, with Miss Pauline Mathews and Mrs. Freda Ourven in charge of Minersville and Milford branches respectively. Mayor George Murdock chairs the board. other members include H. M. Hawrn Truman Rollins O. F Hubbell Roy Barton and other appointees.
Graveside services were held Tuesday afternoon for Harold Hestington son of Harold and Lala Louise Larsen Hestington who died Thursday night of pneumonia with scarlet fever. Rahap K M Bird led the service with former Rixhow George Eyre as speakers. Vocal solos by Mrs. Nelson and quartet numbers followed. Interment was in the local cemetery under Ward Funeral home direction. He was born in Milford on June 25, 19— and was loved by family members and neighbors who mourn his loss.
A first person account of the 4-H Food Preparation Contest trip to Chicago. The narrator describes train travel from Friday night to Sunday arrival, meeting the Wyoming delegation, and sightseeing including Electrolux headquarters Marshall Field Lincoln Park and a University of Chicago chapel. The 4-H activities include a judging contest at the Auditorium hotel a Sears luncheon and a banquet at Thomas E Wilson company with a parade on the final night.

Winter grazing experiments begin with six sheep paddocks, tracking weight changes and grazing, with six more paddocks to be added in spring.
Sumner Hatch, agricultural training director at Branch Agricultural College Cedar City and state vocational education assistant, spends a few Milford hours reviewing Mil oyd high school projects. Hatch, a Heber City native, led Wasatch County high school agriculture and served ten years on county commissioners. He is principal stockholder in local mining ventures with plans for development if the claims prove promising.
Milford C C Camp Notes reports a Milford C C C basketball game set for Saturday at the Milford high school gym against the Minersville M Men. The Milford M-Men defeated Minersville to push toward representing southwestern Utah in the all church tourney. Milford opened with a fast start, while Minersville scored a lone early field goal before Milford widened the gap to lead 28 at halftime.
Funeral services were held at Parowan for Raymond Kuminslea formerly of Black Rock Hut Rev dent of Wichwood California who died in a hotel boiler accident in Los Angeles while repairing a heater system. He was 54. Survived by wife Valeria Applegate and two sons, his parents, and siblings. The family attended services in Parowan and later at Black Rock.
