Local Hunters Kill Two Huge Cougars
Mountain female cougar measuring 6 feet 7 inches was shot Friday morning in the canyon mouth by Lester Carter and Lester Williams. Carter a government trapper from Minersville and Williams of South Milford supplied the dogs. They also killed two pups the day prior and transported the trophies to Beaver and Milford drawing crowds.

Former Beaver County Resident Dies in California
Mrs. Isabella W. Griffith died in Sutter Creek California of pneumonia at age 36. Born in St George September 20 1909 she married John L Griffith of Beaver December 13 1929. The couple lived in Pioche Nevada and California including Oakland before a visit with Desmond Hall in Sutter Creek. Her eight month old son Jack Jr survived. Norman Roberts of Minersville underwent appendectomy at Milford hospital this week.
