Mrs D C Heslington and her four year old daughter Beverly returned from Salt Lake City where they were taken by C L Firmage for Beverly to appear on the all state amateur program at the Roxy theatre. Beverly won third place after earlier first place in the local theatre amateur contest. She earned laurel by reading with four selections for four public appearances.

Milford high school basketball showed clear progress in a 31 28 home win over Millard County Fillmore, led by Coach Floyd Kotter. Milford trailed 21 14 at halftime but surged in the final period to secure the narrow victory and improve free throw accuracy ahead of upcoming games against Beaver Hinckley Delta and a planned February 5 rematch.
