Towers of Aerial Station Rising North of Milford
Construction began this week on two 160 foot towers at the government broadcasting station north of Milford. The contract calls for completion in fifteen days with heating and equipment still to be installed. J R Brand starts drilling a well and William Martin completed concrete work despite zero and subzero temperatures. Telluride Power built a line and temporary wiring, with permanent electrical work to follow. The station is expected to be ready for operation by March first.

Ex-Postmaster Boyle Sentenced for Beaver Embezzlement
William T. Boyle former Beaver postmaster pleaded guilty to embezzling post office funds and received a 16 month term at McNeil Island Federal Prison. The indictment charged $1700 theft traced by Postal Inspector BE L. Jackson from the Beaver office.

Bullet Kills Delta Boy 13 at Home
Jayce Twitchell of Delta, 13, died from a rifle bullet Sunday evening. His body was found by his father at the Twitchell home with a small caliber rifle beside him. A doctor said death was almost instantaneous as the bullet pierced the heart. Investigators believe the boy, alone, was loading or unloading the gun when the trigger caught on a stove projection. The father was away at his service station when the tragedy occurred. He is survived by eight siblings: Stella, Pearl, Louisa, James, Lewis, Ruth, Alice and Joseph.

Disease Hits Pine Valley Sheep Herd In Beaver County
Mr. F. W. Leigh reported a virulent infection among rams in his cooperative herd wintering in Pine Valley. Veterinarian Dr. Huffman diagnosed venereal necrobacillosis. twenty eight rams were killed and eleven more treated. County agents provided care instructions to the shepherds as disease risk threatens lamb crops. Local visitors from Salt Lake City toured Milford over the weekend.
