James Lang Pioneer Beaver Co resident dies of heart ailment
James Ross Lang 82 a pioneer Beaver County resident died at his Milford home after a brief illness. Born in 1867 at St Thomas Nev he moved to Milford in 1916 and worked as a miner and road crew member for the Telluride Power Co. He served as city marshal deputy sheriff and justice of the peace in Beaver and later raised a family in Milford. Funeral services are set for Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Milford Ward LDS Chapel with burial in Beaver Cemetery.

Firmage Theater Adds Insult To Injury With Summertime
Mil ford residents in heavy coats considered boycotting the Firmage Theater as snow fell during what forecasters warned would be a severe storm. Manager Roy Firmage mounted a ladder and altered the marquee to announce the feature If the Good Old Summertime. By late Thursday, as snow eased, the boycott was called off.
