Plan Child Registration Campaign Promoted by PTA Leader

Schedule Drawn For League Play In Beaver County District

A Cedar City meeting blocked by absence of Beaver County schools approved a league basketball schedule for winter. League play starts Friday January 8 with Delta at Milford and Fillmore’s Millard County team at Beaver. Hinckley has a bye opening week. Town Marshal Assaulted on New Year’s Day

Town Marshal William Morris was assaulted by occupants of the town jail on New Year’s Day. He was found with a skull fracture and other injuries, taken to hospital, then returned home. Deputy Crum and others found the jail empty with a bloody floor and a bent pipe used as a weapon.

Beaver County farmers are urged to increase production to bolster the nation s food reserves. Targeted gains include 19 percent more hogs 9 percent more milk production 7 percent more cows eggs up 7 percent turkeys up 10 percent and beef cattle up 89 percent.
